There are two main categories of Talent; the popular non academic Talent or tangible talent and the hidden academic or intangible talent.
For non academic or tangible talents, there are established industries and competitions promoting and developing this category of talent, hence the popularity and the attention it has generated. But it’s not the same for academic talents. Education or schools are supposed to be the industry responsible for promoting and developing this category of talent, but our schools seems not to understand this and secondly lacks the expertise to go about it. This is problem i identified that led me create WIskiders Academic Talent Management System, WATMAS to help our schools develop a system dedicated to discovering and developing academic talents for wealth and employment opportunities.
Most secondary schools are solely created to prepare students for WAEC, NECO and JAMB while our universities, polytechnics and other higher institutions are created to graduate students with mere certificates instead of graduating students with academic talents for wealth and employment creation.
WATMAS is the system that will transform our schools from mere knowledge institutions to wealth creating institutions through academic talents.
